Sunlioght, Oil on Board, 16×20, 2020

This one is definitely COVID-19 captivity-charged. The idea was to take an indoor scene and make it an outdoor scene. My original plan was to make the ceiling joists become the trees, the photo on the wall becomes the sun, and everything else just becomes “outside” whatever that means. The tree idea didn’t really work out as nothing really resembles a tree in there, but I do think inside more or less became outside. The sun, of course, is the focal point for all the crazy perspective geometry–I did use a ruler this time.
