My friend Kim was looking for a watercolor somewhat generalized painting of her two kiddos. I have not really done water color and have sort of been saving it for “later in life” when I need a switch up. I used my kids washable watercolors (the crayola kind) and came up with the below first version. I wasn’t pleased to say the least. So then, since I was in a single-line drawing “mood” I did some of those–which I thought came out neat looking. Finally, I went back to what “I do” which is painting in oils right now. Originally, I wanted to have this painting be 95% white with blue and brown defining the figures. The blue started dominating and I just rolled with it.
