This painting was kind of a smash up. I’m not usually so abstract, but I was sitting in Brian’s office and staring at one of my older paintings, Primary Diner and made the decision to revisit it. So I sketched it up on a canvas and promptly forgot about it for awhile until a few days ago. Around the same time, I rediscovered the artwork of cubist painter Evie Hone. Heat Rises is the result of a mixing of my old painting and the wonderful colors and style of Evie Hone–enjoy!
