Plein air painting in Green Mountain Falls, CO this week with Chris Alvarez and dedicated cadre. Had to have a cinnamon roll at The Pantry before getting started–it was that kind of day. I’ve mainly been working on my “stained glass” thinking lately…trying (not totally succeeding) to apply it to more things. There is a stark contrast between reality (tranquil morning in a park) and the painting (high level of drama, sharpness, and exotic colors).
