Decided to attempt a master copy of Joaquin Sorolla–his paintings of people and clothing are simply amazing to me. He is somehow able to capture the gestures perfectly. He is known as a “master of light” which I completely agree with. This painting, by no means my favorite of his, reminded me of my recent trip to the beach.
